The early May Bank Holiday in 2020 will move from Monday 4 May to Friday 8 May. This is to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day and will enable people to pay tribute to those who served in one of the most significant events in our country’s history.
The announcement of this change was made on 8 June 2019. Unfortunately, like most calendar publishers, Otter House Ltd had already printed the majority of our 2020 calendar and diary programme by this date. As a result, some dated products do not reflect this change and it is not printed inside any calendars or diaries.
Many customers have been selling dated products for over a month by the time this announcement was made. To communicate this change of bank holiday date, we are in the process of adding an announcement to all our point of sale material provided for our calendar and diary programmes. If you have received your calendar and diary programme already and have not received the POS with the announcement, please do not worry, we will be calling on your stores shortly to add these to your displays.
Due to the amount of calendars Otter House and our sister companies produce (over 10 million per annum), we are unfortunately unable to reprint this stock with the correct date. Not only would this be cost-prohibitive, but it would also be environmentally prohibitive. If you have any questions over this announcement, then please do not hesitate to contact any of the Otter House team, either through your account manager or our head office.
